(Blattaria: Ectobiidae or Mesoblattinidae)<br \/>\nLocality: Hukawng Valley, Kachin State, Myanmar<br \/>\nStratigraphy: Upper Cretaceous, Cenomanian (~99 Ma)<br \/>\nPreservation: Complete juvenile (nymph) in transparent yellow Burmite amber<br \/>\nSpecimen Code: BT-02-25-03<\/p>\n<p>Nymphal cockroach preserved in lateral orientation. Total body length ~9 mm (visible), excluding antennae.<\/p>\n<p>Pronotum large, domed, and sub-oval, partially covering head capsule, surface finely punctate.<\/p>\n<p>Head hypognathous, with visible compound eyes and long filiform antennae.<\/p>\n<p>Thoracic legs well-developed; femora and tibiae armed with robust, evenly spaced marginal spines.<\/p>\n<p>Abdomen tapering posteriorly<\/p>\n<p>Cuticle striated; tergites well sclerotized, indicating a possibly advanced nymphal instar.<\/p>\n<p>Remarks:<br \/>\nThe specimen shows features consistent with members of Ectobiidae or possibly extinct stem-lineage Mesoblattinidae. Due to the juvenile state and incomplete visibility of genital structures, precise generic placement is uncertain.
