(Possibly Palaeoeuscorpiidae or Archaeoscorpiopinae)<br data-start=\"324\" data-end=\"327\" \/><strong data-start=\"327\" data-end=\"339\">Locality<\/strong>: Hukawng Valley, Kachin State, Myanmar<br data-start=\"378\" data-end=\"381\" \/><strong data-start=\"381\" data-end=\"397\">Stratigraphy<\/strong>: Upper Cretaceous, Cenomanian (~99 Ma)<br \/>\n<strong>Species:\u00a0<\/strong>indet.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong data-start=\"439\" data-end=\"456\">Specimen Code<\/strong>: SC-018-25<\/p>\n<p>Very clear yellow high quality amber inclusion featuring an incomplete but well preserved Burmite Kachin scorpion in amber. This is a prehistoric ancient scorpion with a preserved stinger.<\/p>\n<p>Morphological characteristics:<\/p>\n<p><strong data-start=\"514\" data-end=\"533\">Metasoma (tail)<\/strong>:<br data-start=\"534\" data-end=\"537\" \/>Curved dorsally over the body, well-segmented, <strong data-start=\"586\" data-end=\"612\">five segments + telson<\/strong> visible. The telson (stinger) is preserved in good detail, with possible remnants of the venom vesicle. Strong setae are visible along the metasomal segments, especially on the dorsal keel.<\/p>\n<p><strong data-start=\"806\" data-end=\"827\">Pedipalps (claws)<\/strong>:<br data-start=\"828\" data-end=\"831\" \/>Large, robust pedipalps are splayed to the sides, with <strong data-start=\"888\" data-end=\"912\">tuberculate surfaces<\/strong> and visible trichobothria (sensory hairs), a trait common in both extant and extinct scorpions.
