These two ancient insects roamed the earth approximately 100 million years ago (before the mass extinction). They were trapped inside sticky tree resin at the time, which fossilized and became amber before it was dug up by local Kachin tribal peoples to be worn as a jewellery product (common through Myanmar).
As part of Kachin Amber Research Institute we wish to offer this piece for the further betterment and international cultural recognition of such a divinely important product of natural history for discovery.
