This so-called ‘hideous’ insect is among lots of reddish-brown flora inside this particular piece of Myanmar amber. The extinct weed, from the Cretaceous tree, is from a prehistoric Kachin tree that once existed in the area that is now known as the Hukawng Valley, in Northern Myanmar.
