Burmite insect amber party inclusion | UI-M-21-25
$60.00
Description
These prehistoric insects knew how to party!
This is a Cretaceous Burmese amber specimen containing an exceptional concentration of micro-arthropods preserved in situ. The transparency of the amber allows for clean transmitted-light imaging and reveals a remarkably diverse “micro-ecosystem” captured in resin ~99 million years ago.
The piece contains numerous identifiable inclusions, including:
-
Multiple spiderlings / juvenile arachnids with intact appendages
-
A well-preserved wasp or parasitoid hymenopteran showing antennae, head capsule, thorax, and wing remnants
-
Several mites or mite-like micro-arachnids distributed throughout
-
Fine plant debris, fungal bodies, and resin filaments
-
Dozens of minute arthropod fragments and micro-inclusions indicative of a forest-floor trapping event
The slab is polished lens-style, making it ideal for stacking photography, microscopy, scientific study, or display. The density and diversity of inclusions make this piece especially desirable for collectors who appreciate multi-organism “community” specimens.
Features
