Cretaceous Burmite Scorpion inclusion | SC-022-25

$120.00 $90.00

Description

This Cretaceous Burmese amber specimen contains a partially preserved scorpion, including segments of the abdomen (mesosoma) along with several appendages such as legs and possible pedipalp remnants. Though not a complete individual, the preserved structures are clear, diagnostic, and unmistakably Scorpiones, placing this slab into the high-interest tier of Burmite inclusions.

The abdomen fragments show visible segmentation consistent with scorpion mesosoma morphology, while the surrounding appendages—some articulated, some displaced—indicate the organism was trapped during, or shortly before, a resin-flow disturbance. These partial scorpion specimens are valuable both scientifically and commercially, as they provide insight into early lineage scorpions from the Late Cretaceous tropical forests.

The amber itself features warm golden-orange transparency with darker resin flow bands at the edges, which enhance visual contrast when viewing the fossil material. The slab-like geometry offers a wide observational window ideal for macrophotography, microscopy, or display lighting.
