Description

This is a well preserved planthopper in Cretaceous Burmite Amber from Kachin State Myanmar.

The wing venation, as seen in the photographs, is remarkably well preserved and shows an exceptional level of prehistoric ‘color’ preservation, showing dark mottled bands that serve as camoglauge against the bark of Araucariacean trees.
