Hemiptera in Burmite Kachin Amber | UI-G-14-25

$190.00

Description

This specimen contains a beautifully preserved Hemiptera (true bug), exhibiting strong morphological traits consistent with Fulgoromorpha—the planthopper lineage. Characterized by its elongate, patterned tegmina, compact body profile, and finely structured venation, this fossil represents one of the dominant hemipteran groups of the Cretaceous Burmese tropical forests.

The amber itself is a rich golden hue with strong optical clarity, containing natural resin artefacts such as microbubbles and flow features that authenticate its geological origin. This is an excellent research and display specimen for collectors focused on Cretaceous insect evolution and the incredible diversity of Burmese amber inclusions.
