Rough Cretaceous Burmite Amber Lot 500 gram– Hukawng Valley Origin

A curated parcel of natural, unpolished Burmese amber (Burmite) from Kachin State, Myanmar. This lot includes mixed-sized pieces, ranging from approximately 4 grams to over 20 grams each, making it ideal for both study and collection. Please refer to the image where we select a range of differnet-sized pieces for comparison.

Burmite is among the oldest and most scientifically significant ambers in the world, originating from the mid-Cretaceous period (~99–100 million years ago). These specimens were unearthed in the Hukawng Valley, a renowned paleontological site known for hosting exceptionally preserved extinct life forms, including insects, arachnids, and plant matter. Consider to support our Kachin State with such an acquisition.

Each piece retains its natural outer skin, a weathered rind that forms as the amber fossilizes. This skin is crucial to scientific validation—within it lie zircon crystals that enable radiometric dating, confirming Burmite’s Cretaceous age.

Enrich your collection with genuine Burmese Burmite—each piece a fossilized remnant of a vanished world.
